Dyze Design releases cutting-edge Zephyr High Flow Extruder

A leader in high-end 3D printing extrusion systems, Dyze Design has launched the Zephyr High Flow Extruder. Built on the company’s advanced MeltCore technology, the 1.75mm filament extruder achieves an impressive flow rate of 685 grams per hour (154 mm³/s). This makes Zephyr one of the fastest printheads for its filament size.

“The Zephyr extruder is engineered for high-speed 3D printing without compromising on quality and performance. It is ideal for rapid prototyping and small series production, addressing the modern industrial demand for both speed and precision,” said Simon Duchaine, chief commercial officer of Dyze Design.

The device boasts MeltCore nozzles ranging from 0.4mm to 1.8mm, dual 70W heaters for precise temperature control, and a maximum heating temperature of 500°C (932°F), making it compatible with high-temperature materials like PEEK and PEI. For superior accuracy, it also boasts advanced PT100 temperature sensors.

A double grip mechanism enhances filament traction and reduces slippage, while a filament tension adjustment feature with nine settings accommodates a variety of filaments.  According to Duchaine, this adaptability simplifies the printing process, reducing the need for multiple extruders and allowing for precise, reliable prints with materials ranging from standard PLA to softer materials like TPU or TPE.
