World-renowned professional 3D scanning hardware and software developer Artec 3D has announced the acquisition of leading reality capture news site 3D Scan Expert.
Under the terms of the deal, Artec 3D has taken over full ownership and editorial control of the website from original owner Nick Lievendag. Since he founded the site in 2016, it has become an important source of tips, news, and reviews for 3D scanning adopters everywhere.
Having acquired the site, Artec 3D plans to work with the 3D Scan Expert team to build on its strong industry presence, and deliver more engaging content about topics across the 3D technology space. This includes continuing to work with Lievendag, an experienced 3D scanning creative, who is expected to contribute to site output for the foreseeable future.
Moving forwards, Artec 3D remains committed to relaunching the site in a way that draws on both its 3D scanning experience and that of 3D Scan Expert, to create an even stronger platform.
