Creality subsidiary PioCreat has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the development of a “true leveling-free” resin 3D printer.
Known as the HALOT-X1, the company’s latest user-friendly machine features a 16K Mono LCD screen, pre-leveled, anti-scrape build plate, and built-in resin management. The result is a highly capable, easily accessible desktop 3D printing device, available from just $459.
“Traditional resin 3D printers can be frustrating,” says the HALOT-X1 Kickstarter page. “They require time-consuming leveling, cumbersome resin handling, model damage during removal, and tedious parameter setups, all limiting creativity and productivity.”
“We aim to solve these problems with groundbreaking innovations to make printing easier while delivering professional-grade results,” it adds. “Our integrated ecosystem—combining cutting-edge slicing hardware, intelligent software, and premium resins—streamlines the entire printing process, making it accessible to both professionals and hobbyists.”
What can we expect from the HALOT-X1?
As much as PioCreat has emphasized that it’s completely independent, it’s hard not to compare the HALOT-X1 to the HALOT machines sold by Creality. The good news for resin 3D printing aficionados is that the latest HALOT boasts plenty of upgrades on its (kind of) predecessors.
The device’s fixed build plate comes pre-leveled, making it easier to use right out of the box. Its new top-down movable optical system is also said to provide greater stability and accuracy, leading to fewer print errors. The HALOT-X1’s quick release bar also pops prints off the build plate, meaning there’s no need for endless scraping – which potentially damages models.
In terms of capacity, PioCreat has managed to make the machine smaller than many competitors while retaining a 211 x 118 x 200 mm build volume. This has been achieved by making the device’s overall volume 19% smaller with space-efficient hardware design.
Other notable additions include resin feeding, RFID identification, heating, weight detection, and more – together these deliver much greater automation. The HALOT-X1 also heats up resin in three minutes, allowing for lowering viscosity and improved quality in cold environments.
How is the Kickstarter going? Can I join?
At time of writing, PioCreat’s Kickstarter has raised over €65,000 of its €92,627 goal with nearly a month to go until its deadline. That leaves plenty of time for would-be buyers to get involved.
At $459 (around €426), the HALOT-X1 is a lot pricier than many other HALOT branded machines. But it’s still relatively cheap as resin systems go, and likely well inside the budget range of many makers and engineers. PioCreat has committed to shipping its latest 3D printer from June 2025, so backers shouldn’t have too long to wait for their new device.

This actually looks like a big step forward in resin printing. The no-leveling build plate and quick-release bar sound amazing — no more scraping off models and praying they don’t snap in half. Backed it already, excited to see how it handles minis!
The integrated resin management and pre-heating system are such underrated features. I often print in a cold garage, so this could really help with consistency. Love seeing affordable innovation in this space.
Looks promising, but I’m a bit skeptical about the 16K screen. Will it really make a visible difference at that print volume? Still, the design looks sleek and I appreciate that they’re targeting usability.
@Tobias Krüger — do you mean 16K might be overkill for such a small build volume? Curious if you’ve tried other high-res printers and noticed any real benefits?
