Elegoo to open pre-orders for Centauri Carbon, introducing rapid CoreXY 3D printing

Elegoo, a fast-growing brand in global smart manufacturing, is in the 3D printing world’s spotlight with Centauri Carbon, its first CoreXY FDM 3D printer, scheduled to open for pre-orders on February 17. Alongside, the company will also unveil the Centauri, the base model in the new Centauri series. This marks an expansion beyond Elegoo’s Neptune series and into the CoreXY market, promising faster, more reliable performance for both seasoned professionals and 3D printing enthusiasts.

The Centauri Carbon features a 256×256×256 mm print volume and an enclosed, family-friendly design with rounded corners, making it a great solution for home users with pets and children. A built-in filter removes any harmful uses for safer indoor printing, while an assembly-free setup ensures printing right out of the box. The device’s automotive-grade die-cast frame is reinforced with aluminum alloy pillars and stainless steel panels for added stability and precision.

With hardened nozzles designed to support carbon fiber-infused materials alongside PLA-CF, ABS, ASA, PETG, and TPU, the Centauri Carbon caters to the growing demand for strong yet lightweight prints. A double-sided flexible magnetic plate improves adhesion, while the automatic Z-axis compensation and one-click bed leveling ensure a flawless first layer, vital for successful 3D printing and preventing the challenges of warping and curling.

Delivering print speeds of up to 500 mm/s with acceleration reaching 20,000 mm/s², the device can print a custom smartphone stand in just 30 minutes. More highlights include slicer and Wi-Fi support, built-in camera for time-lapse recording and monitoring, LED lighting inside the chamber, and a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen.
