Solukon has launched the SFM-AT1500-S, its latest and largest depowdering system, with a mission to handle huge 3D-printed metal parts weighing over two tons. Prepared to be introduced at Formnext 2024, the robust depowdering system supports parts up to 820 x 820 x 1,300 mm or 600 x 600 x 1,500 mm in size, setting a new standard for efficient powder removal in heavy-duty additive manufacturing.
For maximum functionality within a minimal footprint, the SFM-AT1500-S make use of Solukon’s cutting-edge drive technology, making it strikingly compact and easy to load with no need for platforms or stairs. According to Solukon CEO and CTO Andreas Hartmann, “The combination of compactness and maximum functionality is an absolutely unique feature of our new SFM-AT1500-S.”
Another revolutionary feature is the system’s vibration decoupling mechanism, allowing for optimal powder removal without affecting the surrounding structure. With a durable stainless-steel chamber, a programmable 2-axis rotation, and SPR-Pathfinder® compatibility, the SFM-AT1500-S guarantees complete, automated powder extraction and monitoring. Conveniently, the system can integrate with external powder collection systems to manage large powder quantities. Solukon will showcase the system alongside its mid-sized SFM-AT350-E at Formnext 2024, so another innovation to put on your list to explore at the event.
